About

I'm a sociolinguist with a profound interest in heritage languages in the past. In 2019, I obtained my master's in literature and linguistics Dutch - English at Ghent University. In that same year, I started working at Vrije Universiteit Brussel as a research and teaching assistant. In 2021, I was granted a FWO fellowship for fundamental research to work on my PhD project 'From the promised land' which focuses on the language use of Flemings in North-America in the 19th and 20th centuries.
